
Rakshita Mittal
Rakshita Mittal, born in 1994 in Assam, India, is a visual artist with a Master’s degree in Information Arts and Information Design Practices from the Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology, Bangalore. Her work explores the relationships people develop with their surroundings and how these spaces become an extension of both personal and collective identity. Engaging with themes of community, gender, and space, her practice is informed by cultural differences that shape our interactions and relationships within society. She primarily uses photography and printmaking as mediums to initiate dialogue and foster meaningful connections. Rakshita has participated in several visual arts and printmaking residencies, the most recent being at Lichtenberg Studios in Berlin in 2021, supported by the Goethe Institut, Bangalore. She currently lives and works in Bangalore, India.
