Parmeet Kaur Tesson
Parmeetkaur Tesson is an interdisciplinary freelance artist whose practice explores the deep relationships between humans, nature, and materials. Born in Punjab, India, and now based in Cognac, France, she merges her Indian heritage with the resources of her new environment to create sustainable works shaped by natural forces such as wind, sunlight, and water.
Central to her research is the living indigo vat, alongside materials like mycelium, silk, and beekeeping byproducts, reflecting her commitment to biodiversity and ecological respect.
In 2020, she founded the Circular Colour LAB, through which she has presented projects such as Weaving Braille, From Fungi, and the Vineyard Land Project at venues including Foundation Martell and Le Domaine de Boisbuchet.
Her work highlights inclusivity, material transformation, and circular design, positioning her as a collaborator for designers, architects, and artists engaged in sustainable practices.
