Senali Nihara Cooray is a Sri Lankan artist and ceramicist whose practice explores sacred memory, materiality, and craftsmanship through sculpture. Working predominantly with ceramic clay, she creates functional and sculptural works that reflect her interest in the tactile and transformative qualities of materials. With a background in interior design and fine arts, Cooray has also recently begun expanding her practice into mixed-media sculpture. Her work has been presented in exhibitions and projects across Sri Lanka, including collaborations and group exhibitions at Barefoot Gallery and the Matara Festival for the Arts.
